Control Valves

Overview

Control valves are used to control steam, water or gas in marine and industrial applications. Available in steel, iron, bronze or stainless with flanged, threaded or weld ends. Control valves are diaphragm operated with air supplied to controlling diaphragm from external source.

The standard design is straight globe type with balanced double seat. Control valves are also available in angle or 3-way pattern. Direct acting are normally open, providing constant downstream pressure even during large pressure fluctuations. Reverse acting are normally closed and open in response to air supply to diaphragm, reducing upstream pressure.
